Children Dressed as Flower Fairies and Princes to receive a free fairy cake at the Dorothy Clive Garden on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 2012

4th May 2012

The Dorothy Clive Garden is offering a free fairy cake to all children who turn up dressed as a Fairy or Prince on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th May 2012. This promotion will also entitle free admission to all children on this special fund raising weekend.

Bluebell enthusiast and Curator of the Dorothy Clive Garden, Marcus Chilton-Jones, said, ‘The Dorothy Clive garden is currently awash with bluebells and our copse is covered in a carpet of cobalt blue. Now is certainly the time to come and enjoy the wonderful Hyacinthoides non-scripta, commonly known as the native bluebell.’

Visitors will be able to delight in the intimate and informal gardens set amidst glorious countryside and enjoy other flowering delights such as camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and tulips.

The garden will be open from 10.00am until 5.30pm, and the garden tea room, which is situated in the heart of the garden, will also be open from 11.00am until 5.00pm. There will be a selection of cakes, homemade scones and light lunches available to purchase.
