These businesses are at the heart of what defines Shropshire – our strong farming background, plethora of independent businesses and entrepreneurs, and fine foods and drink that draw in tourists from around the world.
Even before the pandemic hit, small businesses were under a lot of pressure to compete with big national corporations and supermarkets, so we want to help them reach a bigger audience. Since the pandemic of 2020, we have realised we cannot take for granted access to quality foods and we need to rally behind our local businesses to preserve their future.
We have created a platform where Shropshire’s food and drink businesses can market themselves to the world. Locals and visitors to Shropshire will be able to find these businesses online and will have the resources to support them by buying online through our website.
Our marketplace will be a directory for producers and outlets across the region. It will give smaller producers who do not have their own website their very own webpage and online shop.
